Toothache home remedies may just help save a bad day cause by the painful sensation on the gum which is may be triggered by different things including sweet foods or snacks.

Toothache is a painful sensation in the tooth. The pain may be concentrated in one region or spread across the entire jaw line. It may be caused by a hole in the tooth (cavity), bacteria in the gum, etc.

Toothache, especially when severe causes alot of pains to the individual which sometimes look as if the tooth wants to pull out. Some home remedies may be used to treat simple toothache, it is however recommended to visit a dentist if the pains persist.
When you have a toothache, the gum swells and become sore and reddish. There is usually a throbbing and constant pain around the tooth and sometimes may be associated with headache or fever.
Below are some of the toothache home remedies that works really fast.

1. Warm Salt Water
Mix half a spoon of common salt in a glass of warm water and use it to rinse your mouth thoroughly.
It will help reduce swelling and inflammation, and also fight bacteria.

2. Garlic:Crush one glove of garlic
Apply some salt on it and press the garlic clove on the affected teeth.
The pain will soon go away afterwards.

3. Pepper and Salt
Mix equal amounts of pepper and salt in a few drops of water and turn to form a paste.
Apply the paste on the affected tooth and allow it to stay for a few minutes.
Do this daily for several days.
4. Onion
Chew raw onion for a few minutes to relieve the pain.
If you cannot chew it, you can place a piece of raw onion directly on the bad tooth or gum.

5. Cloves

Grind two whole cloves. Mix it with a little olive oil or vegetable oil and apply on the affected tooth.

you can also dab a cotton ball in clove oil and rub it directly on the sore tooth. Or, mix a few drops of clove oil in half a glass of water and use it as a mouth wash.
6. Asafetida
Add a pinch or half teaspoon of powdered asafetida to two teaspoons of lemon juice     and warm slightly. Use a cotton ball to apply the solution on the affected area.
Alternatively, asafetida fried in clarified butter can be put in the tooth cavity for  quick relief.
